Resume should be one page long, longer version need to have your instructors approval
The title (your personal info) should be centered, bolded and in 14 point font
There should be a line after the title – press the shift key and dash on the keyboard to make a line
All sub-titles should be underlined, bolded and in all caps
All resume content should be on the right hand side of the document - use the tab key to tab over to the 3” mark on your document
Advanced course work consist of honors and AP courses only
Work skills should be selected from the master list below – type them in a list format, one on top of the other – if more than four – create two columns
Work experience – list your most recent job using the provided format, if you have had more than one job lasting over six months list it after the most recent
If you have never worked you can replace it with “Volunteer Experience”
If you also do not have any Volunteer Experience – create a large list of Work Skills
When creating a listing of facts – follow these rules:
2 facts – write – first and second
3 facts – write – first, second and third
3 or more facts – write these in a list format, one on top of the other
4 or more write them in a list format, one on top of the other – create two columns
References- must have two – use your instructor as one if necessary
NOTE: Once you are given permission to type your resume, it will take 3 to 4 times of editing to earn a 100% grade
