Zonta International/Zonta Club of Boca Raton Area Young Women in Public Affairs Awards:
The goal of the Zonta International Young Women in Public Affairs (YWPA) Program is to encourage more young women to participate in public and political life by recognizing a commitment to the volunteer sector, evidence of volunteer leadership achievements and a dedication to the advancement of the status of women.
Eligibility:
Applicants must be pre-university or pre-college students (age 16-20) at the time of application
Evidence of active commitment to volunteerism
Evidence of volunteer leadership achievements
Evidence of international awareness
Evidence of dedication to advancing the status of women worldwide
Verification of current enrollment by school officials
Recommendation letters
Personal statement of goals
Answer essay questions on application
Award: $1000 (Five International recipients are selected from the (Zonta) District recipients to receive awards of $3000)
